My New Photos

This photo was taken on September 6, by the training room. The method I used was getting closer and using the grid to center the flower. Also, I played with the HDR a little.

This photo was taken in Myrtle Beach in August 2020 around my birthday. The method that was used for this photo was negative space and leading lines.

This picture was also taken at Myrtle Beach at the NASCAR speedway park in August 2020. For this picture I edited it using the brightness and contrast. Also, I used the negative space.

This picture was taken by the Walter Ridge apartments on campus on September 6th. I edited this photo using an app call VSCO. To edit this photo I used saturation, clarity, white balance, and a filter. Also this picture was taken in portrait mode.

The Last DJ

On October 8, 2002 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released a hit song called the “The Last DJ”. Listening to “The Last DJ” what I took from it was Tom petty was saying how the music industry controls or slaves the artist. Also, how the artist don’t have a voice to speak on what they want to speak on. In today’s time much hasn’t change because there are a lot of artist that in the industry as plants because the labels don’t care about morals they just want money.

Well you can't turn him into a company man
You can't turn him into a whore
And the boys upstairs just don't understand anymore
Well the top brass don't like him talking so much,
And he won't play what they say to play
And he don't want to change what don't need to change
There goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say, hey hey hey?
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ
Well some folks say they're gonna hang him so high
'Cause you just can't do what he did
There are some things you just can't put in the minds of those kids
As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see
How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free
There goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say, hey hey hey?
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
And there goes the last DJ
Well he got him a station down in Mexico
And sometimes it'll kind of come in
And I'll bust a move and remember how it was back then
And there goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say, hey hey hey?
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice.
And there goes the last DJ

An Anthropology Look at YouTube

Watching Michael Wesch’s An Anthropology Look at YouTube  opened my mind up to see how people saw into the future and basically predicted what would happen. The video gave so information on how today’s time was going to be like because it’s exactly how it was said in the video. Some things I took from the video is how people could do things their self through the internet instead of signing a major deal to a label or company, how the word viral became a thing, and how the internet connected people for opportunities, relationships, etc.

Antoine Dodson

A lot of people may know one of the most famous phrase “Hide yo kids, Hide yo wife”. Most people may not know where that saying comes from. It originated from one of the most viral news videos ever, the person behind this viral video with over 79 million views on the original video and 150 million views on a remix video is Antoine Dodson. Antoine Dodson is a 37 year old internet star, singer, and actor from Chicago, IL. In 2010, he was at his sisters’ apartment in Huntsville, Alabama when her residence was broken into and a man attempted to rape her. Luckily, Antoine was there to help fight off the guy trying to rape his sister. After, the incident Antoine and his family, was interviewed by the local news station where the viral “Hide yo kids, Hide yo wife” video was made.
